Matthew A. Bourque

Matthew Bourque is a Texas-licensed attorney who joined the Johnson Firm in April 2012. He represents clients in the firm’s probate and business litigation practices. Mr. Bourque’s practice includes all phases of litigation, from presuit investigation, through discovery, settlement negotiations, mediation, trial, and appeals. During his time with the Johnson Firm, Mr. Bourque has successfully briefed and argued numerous motions, including multiple appeals at the Dallas (Fifth) Court of Appeals. In his first trial with the Johnson Firm, Mr. Bourque successfully moved for a directed verdict, resulting in the dismissal of all claims against his client.

Mr. Bourque received his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law, where he concentrated in litigation and dispute resolution. While practicing as a student attorney in the criminal litigation clinic, Mr. Bourque won a bench verdict following his trial of an assault case. Mr. Bourque earned a B.A. magna cum laude in political science with a minor in Spanish language and literature at the George Washington University.
